e were in Varkala, Kerala last week. It was an amazing experience ! The beaches were gorgeous and the food was delicious. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at a cliff resort  overlooking the sea and it was breathtaking. We were attending a destination wedding  and the preparations were amazing. The wedding was a grand affair and we had an amazing time. We also got to explore the local culture, temples and attractions in Varkala. All in all it was an experience of a lifetime!

We attended a yoga class where we learnt about meditation and breathing techniques. It was very enlightening and helped us relax throughout our stay.

The resort had a hidden route to the beach  and it was amazing to walk along the cliff side. Adi chose to spend most of his time in the beach and the pool in the resort . Adi and his friend loved playing with the waves  and having a good swim. I can hardly recognize Adi after the tan on his face!

The wedding was planned with activities like haldi function, mehendi function, and sangeet. Every event was full of fun and games. It had a very traditional feel to it with lots of singing and dancing.

What a getaway it was for us! We would love to come back here for another vacation. Varkala will always remain special in our hearts! a

We also got to explore the local cuisine and try out some of the delectable dishes. We enjoyed the Kerala Sadhya , a traditional meal consisting of rice with many side dishes and pickles.

The spices and flavors were truly unique and we savored every bite of it. The seafood here was equally delicious and a must try for all the foodies. The natural beauty of Varkala is something that needs to be experienced first hand. We took walks along the beach and enjoyed the view of the backwaters.

We met a lot of people at the wedding from different countries  and cultures. It was interesting to learn about their traditions and customs.
