was looking for a place to spend my new year last year, and I could not think of anything better than Digha. I knew my son loves beaches, and Digha had some of the most mesmerizing beaches in India. So, I made my decision to visit this place for new year celebrations and booked our tickets.

We checked-in to our hotel and went straight to the beach. While strolling on the shore, I could feel a rare calmness in my heart and was overwhelmed by the beauty of nature that surrounded me from all sides.

It felt like time had stopped there - no hustle bustle of city life, no stress and worries of life. All I could see was serenity everywhere. Later that night we went to the beach side restaurant and enjoyed some delicious seafood dishes. On the special day of new year, we woke up early and went to the beach. The sun was shining with its full glory as if it is rejoicing with us for the beginning of a new year. We spent all day at the beach just having fun in the sun, taking pictures, playing games, swimming and creating memories.

The feeling of standing on the northern end of Bay of Bengal was surreal. I could be there for hours to absorb that feeling . I realized how nature has the power to amaze us and make us feel grateful for life's beauty.
